Croydon Vineyard Kids – Parent Take-Home Plan
Series: Our Values – Living God’s Good News Together
Key Verse: “You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” — 1 Peter 2:9
This term we’re joining the adult church as we explore The Mission of the Kingdom. We’ll help children understand that God’s Kingdom is already here but still growing — and that they get to be part of it. Each week, we’ll look at what the Kingdom looks like in real life: inviting others, building community, being changed by Jesus, and multiplying God’s love.
Our aim is for kids to:
Understand what the Kingdom of God is — it’s here now, but not yet finished.
Realise their part in God’s Kingdom — inviting, serving, and growing with Jesus.
Take steps to act and take ground for God’s Kingdom.
Encourage your kids to talk, pray, and play through these simple ideas at home each week.

Matthew 13:31–32
“The Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed planted in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of garden plants; it grows into a tree, and birds come and make nests in its branches.”
Week 1 – Nov 9th - The Now and Not Yet of the Kingdom
Scripture: Matthew 13:31–33; Revelation 21:3–5
At Home Activity:
Plant a small seed together. As you water it, talk about how we can’t always see growth right away — just like God’s Kingdom grows quietly in our hearts and in the world around us.
I Wonder:
What are some ways we can see God’s Kingdom growing today?
Prayer:
God, thank You that Your Kingdom is here and still growing. Help us see where You are working and join in with You each day. Amen.
Week 2 – Nov 16th - Evangelisation & Invitation
Scripture: Luke 5:27–32
At Home Activity:
Make simple “You’re Invited” cards together and write one name on each — someone your child would like to invite to church, a group, or to pray with them. Take time to pray over each name together. You can use the BoxPark Service flyers to give as well.
I Wonder:
Who could we invite to know Jesus this week?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for inviting us into Your Kingdom. Help us share Your love and welcome everyone we meet. Amen.
Week 3 – Nov 23 - Integration & Community
Scripture: Acts 2:42–47
At Home Activity:
Work together to build something — a tower of blocks, a Lego house, or a paper puzzle. Talk about how every piece is important, just like every person in God’s family.
I Wonder:
How can we help each other and show love as part of God’s family?
Prayer:
God, thank You for making us part of Your big family. Help us work together and love one another so Your Kingdom can grow. Amen.
Week 4 – Nov 30 - Formation, Confession & Healing
Scripture: Luke 19:1–10; Romans 12:2
At Home Activity:
Draw a heart on paper. Inside, write or draw things that make us sad or that we’d like Jesus to change. Then crumple the paper, smooth it out, and draw a bright new heart over the top to show Jesus makes us new.
I Wonder:
How does Jesus change our hearts when we talk to Him?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for forgiving us and making us new. Help us grow to be more like You every day. Amen.
Week 5 – Dec 7 - Multiplication & Church Planting
Scripture: Acts 16:11–15 (Lydia’s story)
At Home Activity:
Set up a pretend “church at home.” Sing a song, read a verse, and pray together. Talk about how Lydia shared Jesus in her home, and how we can share His love wherever we go.
I Wonder:
Who could we tell about Jesus this week?
Prayer:
God, thank You for using people like Lydia — and us — to share Your good news. Help us be brave to tell others about You. Amen.
Week 6 – Dec 14 - Celebration: Boxpark Service
Scripture: Matthew 28:19–20
At Home Activity:
Write or draw one thing your child has learned about God’s Kingdom during this series. Create a “Kingdom Poster” of everything your family has learned and hang it where everyone can see.
I Wonder:
What’s one way we can keep living for God’s Kingdom every day?
Prayer:
God, thank You that Your Kingdom is growing and we get to be part of it. Help us keep following You, loving others, and sharing Your good news. Amen.
