Introducing A New Testament Journey

In 2022 Croydon Vineyard is taking a New Testament Journey, and you are invited!

Jesus said he who has ears to hear, should hear.  He said that those who hear his words and practice them are like those who build their house on the rock.

The scriptures are the counsel of heaven, they are the path of life.

So, as a church, we want to do everything we can to help each other work through the New Testament, but even more than that to have the New Testament work through us!

So in 2022 we embark on a new Testament journey.

It’s a fresh plan, and a simple plan. We’ll read one chapter of the New Testament every weekday.  Monday - Friday.  Weekends are there to reflect and catch up.

This year, rather than working through from front to back, we’ve organised the readings differently.  We are going to start with Luke and Acts, and then work around different books according to author and theme, encountering every letter, before finishing with Revelation in December. It’s amazing - one chapter each weekday and that will take us all the way through.

And This is a journey we’re taking together, so we’re going to give as much help as we can to each other along the way…

Every day there will be an accompanying devotional available here on our website, we’ll be giving frequent encouragements on our social media feeds, and we’ll talking about it regularly through the year at our gatherings and services.

Our weekly CV Online episodes will engage with each week’s readings and help us as a church wrestle with the difficult questions, give insights from the scriptures and help us to both hear and do the words of Jesus.  These will premiere every Sunday on YouTube and Facebook at 6pm and be available for catch up through the week.

And, as a collective project, we are going to record and release an audio New Testament.  This will be read by Croydon Vineyard, for Croydon Vineyard, and be released online on our Channels to accompany each day’s reading, so everyone can listen along as we journey through.

The book of Hebrews states that the word of God is living and active.

We know that as we journey through the New Testament together it will transform us, transform our church, and beyond us.
