Antoinette's New Testament Journey
“Hi, my name is Antoinette.
I am blessed to have an extended family in Croydon Vineyard Church, we are reading the New Testament in a year together. I have been reading through the book of Luke: the Zacariah seeking Jesus, the blind man and the women weeping at Jesus feet…these have been a great help to me.
I'm reminded again and again to do the same but sometimes when I find myself face to face with life's struggles, I don't always make Jesus my first port of call. I try and do it in my own strength, and oh boy, that's such hard work keeping stuff inside, not coming to Jesus and hoping it will just go away.
But it's not until I decide to let go, seek Jesus and cry out to Him that I receive all Jesus has for me. I know He is always there for me, fighting my battles, loving me. He comes alongside me and rescues me every time I come to Him. Oh gosh, what a heavenly Father, what a friend I have, I'm so very grateful to Him.
Reading His word and asking for prayer always gets me back on track and I see a massive change in my life when I decide to put God first. He is my strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow.
These great stories in God's word help in our daily walk with Jesus and it's just so wonderful to join in and listen along with my extended family in CV church while we speak out the word of God in our studying of the New Testament. It's such good food for the soul.”
