Dear wonderful VES team,

Happy New Year!

I really hope you’ve had a good, restful Christmas break - with some space to breathe, enjoy family and friends, and be refreshed for the year ahead.

As we step into the new term, I want to extend a big invitation and encouragement to join us for our VES Team Morning & Lunch this Monday - 10am start at the ACH. These mornings are rare (we only do one a term!), and they are really important for us as a team. It’s a chance to gather as a group, receive some key training, hear important updates for the term ahead, and take some proper time together to celebrate all that God has done through VES over the last year.

A few other practical notes for the week ahead:

Tuesday 6th January is our registration morning for NEW students - regular Tuesday team are very welcome to help welcome and socialise, but no teaching required
Classes restart properly on Wednesday 7th January
February half term: 16th–20th February (no classes)
We’ll be in touch shortly about team days and rotas, but our working assumption is that you’ll continue in the same pattern as last term, unless you’ve already told us otherwise

As we closed out last term, VES received a lot of Christmas messages from students - both spoken and written - full of warmth and gratitude for how VES (you!) has impacted their lives. They speak so highly of your patience, kindness, encouragement, and faithfulness. I’ll share a few specific ones on Monday.

Thank you for all you give - consistently and sacrificially. It’s a real joy to serve alongside this team.
