Tots and Pebbles - Jan-Feb
As we start the new year, we will be going back to the beginning of the Bible where God’s true story all begins, to the garden of Eden. Through this series, your child is learning a powerful truth: even when we make mistakes, God is kind, close, and ready to help us choose wisely. By receiving God’s gracious love, practising listening, praying, and choosing what’s right, children begin to grow confidence in their relationship with God and trust that He is always with them.
At each stage of our kids lives we want to introduce them to the full story of the Bible from start to finish so they can know of God’s creative and powerful love, how God is active all around us, how our choices matter to God and to the world that he made, how he sent his Holy Spirit to be with us, fill us and give us new life in Him and how His Redemption is our hope for eternity.
Here are some at-home resources for you over the next couple of months.

Below are some ways you can engage from home each week and see what’s coming up.
Week 1 -Jan 11 – I Can Do What God Says
Bible Story: Genesis 3:1–6
Big Idea: I show wisdom when I do what God says.
Talk About It
Ask your child:
What is one thing you remember doing at church?
Adam and Eve made a wrong choice. What could they have done instead?
How can we listen to God?
Try This at Home – “God Says” Game
Play a simple listening game together.
When you say “God says…”, everyone does the action.
If you don’t say “God says,” no one moves.
Explain that listening carefully helps us make wise choices.
Say Together
“I can make the right choice!”
“I can do what God says!”
Prayer
God, thank You for loving us. Help us listen to You and make right choices. Amen.
Week 2 - Jan 18 – I Can Ask God for Wisdom
Bible Verse: James 1:5
Big Idea: I show wisdom when I ask God for it.
Talk About It
Ask your child:
What do you remember from church this week?
What is something you need help deciding?
Who can we ask for help when we’re not sure what to do?
Try This at Home – “Let’s Ask God”
Ask a simple question like:
“What should I do when someone is sad?”
Say together, “Let’s ask God!”
Sit quietly for a few seconds, then read James 1:5 and talk about it.
Help your child know God loves when we ask Him for help.
Say Together
“I can make the right choice!”
“I ask God!”
Prayer
God, thank You that we can ask You for wisdom. Please help us make good choices. Amen.
Week 3 - Jan 22 – God Helps Me Make Right Choices
Bible Verse: James 1:5
Big Idea: I show wisdom when I make the right choice.
Talk About It
Ask your child:
What games did you play at church?
Do you always get to choose what you do?
Who helps you make good choices?
Try This at Home – Choice Time
Read two choices out loud and ask your child which one is the wise choice:
Share a toy or keep it?
Say kind words or mean words?
Help someone or walk away?
Before choosing, put hands together and say:
“God, please help me make the right choice.”
Say Together
“I can make the right choice!”
“God will help me!”
Prayer
God, thank You for helping us choose what is right. Please help us today. Amen.
Week 4 - Feb 1 – I Can Stay on God’s Path
Bible Verse: James 1:5
Big Idea: I show wisdom when I stay on God’s path.
Talk About It
Ask your child:
What made you happy at church?
What does it mean to follow Jesus?
How do we stay on God’s path?
Try This at Home – Follow God’s Path
Draw a winding line on paper and call it “God’s path.”
Take turns tracing the line with your finger.
Talk about how making good choices helps us stay close to Jesus.
You can draw pictures of kind choices along the path.
Say Together
“I can make the right choice!”
“I can stay on God’s path!”
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for leading us. Help us follow You and stay on Your path. Amen.
