VES End of Academic Year Update
We are celebrating a fantastic academic year at Vineyard English School!
This academic year the VES team has hosted 393 group sessions - welcoming hundreds of students from all over the world for free conversational English language lessons. We've seen many people in our “Beginners from Scratch” classes learn their first few phrases in English; many move through Beginners Level into conversational fluency; many students step into work or formal education in the UK for the first time; and students across all levels become significantly more proficient in their speaking and listening.
We've also been privileged to share the gospel with students - one highlight has been playing our part in helping many Iranians on their journey towards Jesus. June saw 15 of them, most of them having connected with VES, get baptised by immersion at West Croydon Baptist.
Recent months have also seen two strategic doors open for the ministry - one into Centrale's "Active Communities Hub", and the other into the Queen's Hotel, near Crystal Palace where approximately 600 asylum seekers are accommodated. We believe that these doors were opened as a result of our Lent season of Contending for Spiritual Awakening... so we are expectant about what will happen from the upcoming September season! Please do continue to remember the ministry in your prayers.
