5 Things We're Shooting For In 2024

This Sunday we launch the 4pm service. We are fluctuating between moments of huge expectation and moments of terrified panic. We embrace this range of emotion as part of what God has for us in this age; it is in these determined steps of faith that we grow in maturity, that we discover who we are and who we were made to be. It is only when we attempt things that will fail without the intervention of Jesus that we give space for the miracles of Jesus. As leaders in this church we want to urge you to keep on pushing into faith; to keep on trusting that Jesus will show up to honour his word, even when it terrifies us to try to obey him.

And so, in that Spirit, we want to share with you 5 key things that we believe Jesus has invited us to shoot for this year. Some of them are profoundly practical and easy to measure, and some of them are more ephemeral. All of them seem beyond us and will require a miracle of God to see them come to pass. But, for the last 10 years, this terrifying territory in which Croydon Vineyard has lived, and this is the territory in which we are determined to continue in until the day that we die.

EXPECT RENEWAL
We expect to see a season of significant rebirth and renewal, with a move of the Spirit beyond what we have seen before, laying the foundations for a Spiritual Awakening in Croydon.

EXPAND STAFF AND LEADERSHIP CAPACITY
To move from ministering to “dozens” to ministering to “hundreds” through new staff members joining and clear comms and casting of vision.

SUNDAY SERVICE EXPANSION
Invest in more outreach to see more come into both the 10:30am and the 4PM.  We want to think ambitiously of a growth of at least 50% of Sunday numbers (from 250 to 375)

MORE PEOPLE IN FUN, HEALING, FRIENDSHIPS
As our numbers grow we need a step change in our integration of new people into discipleship groups. We will see this happen through bedding people into relationships, particularly working to seeing new people, every month, join our small groups.

STEP-CHANGE IN VENUE
A Buildings Team established, who identify a suitable 12,000+ sq ft warehouse which we can move into before Easter 2025, with £1m raised.
