A New 4pm Sunday Service @ Harris Academy is starting in January 2024
We are really excited to be launching a new 4pm afternoon service at Harris Academy, Kendra Hall Road, CR2 6DT!
The service will run from 4 till 5.30pm; there'll be coffee and treats before and after the service. Our format of worship, teaching and ministry will be exactly the same as at the 10.30 service. The talk will be exactly the same as the 10.30 service. Tom and Lesley will be present and leading the service just as they do in the 10.30 service. Tina will be overseeing amazing kids groups just as there are in the morning and essentially it will be the same experience of church that we currently have at the 10.30 service except it will be at 4 in the afternoon.
To use a gardening metaphor: we're taking a cutting from the 10.30 service and planting it at 4 to make a new weekly service that will grow into the same type of plant! We are actively looking for 40 to 50 people to choose to move across from the 10.30am service to the 4pm service to pioneer this adventure... could you be one of the pioneers?
Why are we doing this?
Capacity and Mission.
Our 10.30 service has seen significant growth since we began meeting there in January 2022. In almost every area we are now bursting at the seems! Starting an afternoon service is one of the easiest ways of creating more capacity across the church.
As we contend for spiritual awakening, we also carry a burden to reach Croydon with the good news of the Kingdom. A new service enables us to pursue this mission, welcome new people, and see Croydon come to life.
