This is a time for leaning into Jesus, and all that he is calling us to. He can lead you to thrive in the midst of trial. Join us and step into the following practices:
Jesus leads us into life-giving relationships. A tool we use to help people find and grow these is PODS - small groups of people, who commit to regularly gather online to share life together and spur each other on in our faith.
We encourage you to be a part of a POD - if you need help connecting with one contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
New Testament in 2020
As a church we have been reading through the New Testament in 2020!
The plan is simple - pursuing God's presence through the New Testament by reading 1 chapter every weekday (Monday to Friday), with the weekends free to catch up!
You can find out where we are currently up to and get notes to help your reading at https://nti1y.home.blog/
1000 Acts of Courage
Since February we have been encouraging each other to do "Acts of Courage".
An Act of Courage is taking a step, big or small, out of our comfort zones in order to be a blessing to those around us. Surely, with all that's happening in the world right now, it's only a time to push into this initiative more?
If you, or someone you know, does an act of courage please do let us know - we love to encourage each other by sharing the stories of the steps people are taking.
Caroline and Phil Greaves head up this initiative for the church, you can contact them directly at email@example.com
Encounters with the presence of God in prayer are the lifeblood of any life of faith. And while all of us know that, so many of us struggle to actually pray. We love these prayer cards from Vineyard Churches. We encourage you to use them to build daily and weekly rhythms of prayer in your life. And you could partner with someone in a POD to support one another as you seek to build a rich prayer life that will help you thrive in all circumstances.
Loving Croydon in times of need... We are sure many of you will have seen some cards circulating the internet where one lady from Falmouth, Becky Wass, decided she wanted to write a better story for the world and spread kindness and love rather than fear and doubt. A brilliant idea and we encourage you to do what you can to love and serve Croydon in these uncertain times. You can get print-ready versions of the card to use at this link - https://www.vineyardchurches.org.uk/resources/viral-kindness/
